Award for Supporting Young People in Print

Award for Supporting Young People in Print

Rigid Containers has beaten hundreds of entries to win the Supporting Young People in Print category at the Solutions awards organised by Print Solutions magazine.

The annual event held at Café de Paris in London was attended by over 250 people and acknowledges and congratulates people in the print and graphics arts industry for creativity, innovation, ideas and inspiration.

To win the award Rigid had to demonstrate how it encourages young people to work in the corrugated industry through its fantastic apprenticeship schemes and school education projects.

Also highlighted at the event was Rigid’s work in engaging local schools to enter the Confederation of Paper Industries’ (CPI) annual PaperWorks competition.

Group Managing Director Richard Coward said that it was excellent to be acknowledged for Rigid’s dedication to promoting the corrugated industry to young people.  “As a company we have always been passionate about developing careers and encouraging young people who join us. It is very important for Rigid and the corrugated industry that we train and nurture young people as they are the future of the company.”

The award was also backed by PrintIT! initiative to spread the positive message of paper and print into schools.
